Recently a number of countries, primarily in Central and South America, have confirmed cases of Zika Virus. Outbreaks of this virus have occurred in the past in Asia and Africa and have been associated with birth defects. The virus is spread through mosquito bites and has symptoms such as fever, headache, rash and muscle pain. If you are travelling to an affected area, please take extra precaution in protecting yourself from mosquito bites.
